Born August 17, 1977, Thierry Henry is a French soccer player who currently plays for the New York Red Bulls in the MSL. Born in a suburb of Paris, France, Henry signed his first professional contract in 1990 and made his professional debut in 1994 as a 17 year-old. He played in Europe for Juventus, Arsenal and Barcelona in Europe before making the transition to MLS. He is Arsenal’s all-time goal scoring leader, has been nominated for the FIFA Player of the Year award twice, was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year twice, and the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year three times. Henry has also been placed on the UEFA Team of the Year five separate times.
