Lea Michele Sarfarti was born on August 29, 1986 in the Bronx, New York. She began working professionally as a child actress on Broadway, appearing in Ragtime, Fiddler on the Roof, Les Miserables, and Spring Awakening. She currently plays Rachel Berry on the hit Fox show Glee. She has won a Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding ensemble performance for Glee and the 2009 Satellite Award for best actress. She has also received nominations for an Emmy Award, two nominations for a Golden Globe award, and a Teen Choice Award for her role as well. Lea Michelle has included on the the TIME magazine list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, FHM named her the #7 Sexiest Women List, and she was named to People Magazines Best Dressed List of 2010.
