As the starting 3rd baseman for the New York Mets, David Wright plays one of the most important positions for one of the most talked about teams in the U.S. Born in 1982, Wright was drafted by the Mets in 2001 and made his Major League debut in 2004. Since then Wright has excelled, being a 5-time All Star selection, 2-time Gold Glove winner, and 2-time Silver Slugger.
