Nicknamed “Melo”, Carmelo Anthony has been an popular and skilled basketball player his entire career in the NBA. Anthony played one year of college ball at Syracuse University, leading the Orangemen to their first NCAA championship in 2003 as a freshman. He then entered the NBA draft, and was selected at #3 by the Denver Nuggets.
